Florida Woman Killed In Cades Cove Bicycle Incident Over Weekend
Great Smoky Mountains National Park rangers and AMR responded to a report of a bicycle accident in Cades Cove on Friday at 12:48 p.m. Officials said the cyclist, Sandra Hull, 55, of Sarasota, Fla. fell off her bicycle along Cades Cove Loop Road near the exit.
Hull was flown to UT Medical Center by Lifestar for treatment to injuries to the back of her head. She later passed away Saturday at 7:15 a.m.
Authorities said Hull was riding a rental bicycle and not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
