Three Dead, Several Injured In Rogersville Crash

Three people are dead and several others are injured following a car crash in Hawkins County Friday, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

WJHL, WVLT's CBS affiliate, reported the crashed happened around 10:00 p.m. on U.S. Highway 11W in Rogersville.

Troopers said a a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck entered oncoming traffic and hit a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier. Investigators said the pickup truck then rolled over and hit a third vehicle, a 2007 BMW 5 Series.

THP said all three people inside the Cavalier were killed. Authorities identified the victims as 37-year-old Deborah Lynn Kimberlin, the driver, and two passengers, 67-year-old Jimmy Kimberlin and 51-year-old Nancy L. Kimberlin.

Officials said the victims were from Jonesville, Virginia.

It is unclear how severely injured the other drivers are.

WJHL reported a section of Highway 11W was closed for several hours Friday night and into early Saturday morning.

That stretch of the highway reopened.
