McGhee Tyson Gets $50 Million Investment From Knoxville Airport Authority
The Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority and Allegiant Air are expected to announce an investment of more than $50 million to the East Tennessee area Wednesday. A representative with McGhee Tyson Airport told local news outlets late Tuesday that state and local leaders, tourism officials and Allegiant Air crews will be on hand to make the economic development announcement. Officials plan to hold a media conference at 2 p.m. Wednesday to unveil the big tourism news.
