Knoxville Woman Charged In Deadly Stabbing Attack At West Knox Restaurant

A Knoxville woman is behind bars after deputies say she stabbed a man to death at a West Knoxville restaurant.

Rickeena Hamilton, 38, has been charged with second degree murder in relation to the death of 22-year-old Timothy Cox.

The Knox County Sheriff's Office said the incident happened Sunday evening at Bull Feathers located at 10535 Kingston Pike.

Investigators said Hamilton and Cox had been involved in a physical fight inside the restaurant. KCSO said Hamilton attacked Cox with a knife as they were leaving the restaurant.

Cox was transported to Tennova in Turkey Creek where he was pronounced dead.

The investigation led to a home in South Knox County, where Hamilton was taken into custody without incident.

KCSO said Hamilton has a criminal history in Knox County allegedly involving disorderly conduct, public intoxication, drug charges, and theft.

Hamilton was booked into the Knox County Jail with a bond set at $200,000.

This is a developing story. Updates will be posted here.
