TBI Says Macon County Woman Arrested For Making False Allegation Of Sexual Assault

TBI says a Macon County woman's allegation of sexual assault is unfounded, and she is now behind bars.

According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the allegations involved a Jamestown man. Sarah Suddarth, 24, allegedly told the agency she visited the man's home in December 2016 and he sexually assaulted her there.

After an investigation was complete, TBI determined this assault did not occur. The Fentress County Grand Jury returned an indictment against Suddarth last week, charging her with one count of filing a false report.

Suddarth turned herself in Tuesday morning and was booked into the Fentress County Jail on a $2,500 bond.
