Knoxville Police Charge Man With One Count Kidnapping After He Took Girlfriend And Lead Officers On Chase Through East Knoxville

KNOXVILLE - Knoxville police charged a man with one count of kidnapping after they said he took his girlfriend against her will and led officers on a chase through East Knoxville on Sunday.

Police said the victim's mom called 911 to report her daughter's boyfriend, 22-year-old Noe Pena, kidnapped her.

As Pena was fleeing police in a Chrysler 300, authorities said communication between the victim and her mother led police to her location.

Officers caught up with both the victim and the suspect at the Weigel's off of Strawberry Plains Pike, where they detained the Pena.

Investigators said police are interviewing the victim and her boyfriend for more information.
