London Kentucky Woman Behind Bars Facing Charges Of Neglect Of 27-Month Old Child
LONDON, Ky. (WKYT) -- Police in London, Kentucky say a woman is behind bars facing multiple charges after child services saw the condition of a 27-month-old child.

Police say the Laurel County Department of Child Based Services contacted investigators after discovering the small child was malnourished. Workers also noticed the child had numerous bruises and cuts.

The toddler was transported to University of Kentucky Medical Center, and medical staff determined the child was extremely malnourished.

Detectives arrested Sarah A. Sizemore, 30, and charged her with first-degree criminal abuse and endangering the welfare of a minor. Police identified Sizemore as the child's aunt.

Sizemore remains in the Laurel County Detention Center.
