Blount County Sheriff: Six Arrested For Drug-Related Incidents Including Partially Naked Man Lying In Church Parking Lot

BLOUNT COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- According to the Blount County Sheriff's Office, six people were arrested Tuesday in two related incidents that involved drugs and crystal methamphetamine for resale.

BCSO said on Tuesday morning deputies were dispatched to a church parking lot on Piney Level Church Road in response to a call about a partially clothed man who was passed out lying in the parking lot. When deputies arrived on the scene, they said they found Danny McTaggart, who admitted to using meth within the last few days.

When deputies investigated further, they said they found that McTaggart had been at a residence on Whites Mill Road earlier Tuesday. When they went to the address, they said they found David Carver and Andy Harvey in a vehicle in the driveway actively using drugs.

When deputies and an agent with the Fifth Judicial Drug Task Force searched the vehicle, they said they found a bag in the trunk that contained 6.1 grams of crystal meth.

BCSO said deputies also located Cameron Rigsby, Jackie Stillwell and Robert Bayless inside the residence. All three were arrested on outstanding warrants.

BCSO said one female in the vehicle was released with no charges.

The following charges were placed on those arrested:

--Danny T McTaggart, 31, of Tallassee, Tennessee, was charged with indecent exposure and public intoxication. He was released on a $3,000 bond pending a hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4.
--Jackie L. Stillwell, 44, of Walland, was served with two warrants for failure to appear. He was being held without bond pending a hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4.
--David J. Carver, 63, was charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance (crystal meth) for resale. He was being held on a $20,000 bond pending a hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court at 9 a.m. on April 11.
--Andy L. Harvey, 34, of Walland, was served with an attachment from Juvenile Court. He was being held on a $250 bond pending a hearing in Blount County Juvenile Court at 9 a.m. on April 11.
--Cameron R. Rigsby, 29, of Maryville, was charged with felony violation of probation. She was being held without bond pending a hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court at 9 a.m. on April 9.
--Robert L. Bayless, 25, of Seymour, was served with a warrant for failure to appear. He was being held on a $1,500 bond pending a hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court at 9 a.m. on April 11.
