Knox Count Sheriff's Looking For Two Men Who Tried To Kidnap Infant From Mother At Gunpoint On January 31

The Knox County Sheriff's Office released composite drawings of two men suspected of attempting to take an infant from the arms of its mother at gunpoint on January 31.

KCSO said the incident happened in the parking lot of Walker Springs Apartment Complex in West Knox County.

During the struggle, KCSO said the woman held onto her baby, but the suspects stole her purse and other belongings. No one was injured in the incident.

The first suspect was described as a man with a medium build, medium complexion, standing 5'2" to 5'5", weighing 130-140 pounds with black hair and black eyes. The man was described as being around 28 years old with a cut over his left eye. He was wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.

The second suspect was described as a man with a chubby build, black hair and a full beard, standing 5'9" to 5'11", weighing around 160 pounds, and appearing to be around 34 years old. He was wearing a blue jean jacket with flames on it and gray jeans.

KCSO said they did not have a drawing of the third suspect involved in the incident, but he was described as a Hispanic male with black hair.

The suspects fled the scene in a white sedan, possibly a Nissan Maxima with damage to the rear, and a black hood, red trunk, red rear driver door, black rims and loud exhaust.

Anyone with information about the men were asked to call KCSO at 865-215-2243.
