Brentwood, Tennessee Ranked Safest In State According To Survey, Sevierville 42nd, Knoxville 46th, Maryville Ranked 14th

Are you living in the safest place in Tennessee? The National Council for Home Safety and Security announced the ranking of the Safest Cities to live in Tennessee for 2018.

According to Alarms.Org, a study determined that Brentwood took the number one spot for safest city in Tennessee for 2018. You can call this the home to many of our country greats, a wealthy suburb in Nashville. As a matter of fact, the study said the violent crime rate in Brentwood is many times lower than the state average.

The second safest city in Tennessee is Spring Hill, which is just 30 miles south of Nashville. Third place went to Collegedale, a smaller suburb of Chattanooga.

According to Alarms.org, Knoxville is the 46 safest city to live in Tennessee. That is out of 53 cities. The study showed there are 1,672 violent crimes and 10,324 property crimes per 1,000 people in Knoxville. There is a population of 186,583.

There are other towns and communities in East Tennessee that also made the list.

The 14 safest place to live was Maryville.

Clinton ranked in at 36, Sevierville took 42, Crossville hit 44 and Athens came in as the 53 safest city in Tennessee, just to name a few.

This study took into account the number of reported violent crimes and property crimes. Violent crimes were weighted differently due to their severity.

The National Council for Home Safety and Security reviewed the most recent FBI Uniform Crime Report statistics, along with some internal research.
