Family Of Seven Escape Monday Night House Fire In North Knox
The owner of the home told crews on scene the smell of smoke woke him up, and he saw flames in the living room after he opened his bedroom door. There was a smoke alarm in the home, but the owner said it did not go off.
The homeowner, his wife and their 5 children between the ages of 4 months and 7 years were all able to escape safely.
Fire crews reported being on the scene within 8 minutes of the fire being reported. The flames were under control just before 12:30 a.m. Tuesday.
