Blount County Looking For Woman Wanted For Aggravated Cruelty To Animals After Finding Dead Animals In Home

The Blount County Sheriff's Office asked for the public's help locating a Maryville woman wanted on 18 warrants for aggravated cruelty to animals.

BCSO announced they were searching for Amy Renea Robertson, 43, of Highway 72 in Maryville. The Sheriff's Office said she may also be using the aliases Amy Renae Adkins, Amy Sharp Godfrey, Amy Ranae Sharp or Amy Renae Wright. Her last known vehicle is a 2000 black Nissan Xterra, Tennessee registration V9186H.

On Thursday, January 18, deputies responded to a residence in south Blount County on a welfare check of Amy Robertson. The property owner who Robertson rents from told deputies that Robertson had not reported to work in more than a week, and that she had not had contact with her in a couple weeks.

Deputies made entry into Robertson's mobile home and found multiple animals deceased in cages, as well as multiple animals running around the house. Deputies found six deceased dogs and three deceased cats.

Animal control removed five living dogs, and they picked up an additional two dogs and two cats from the residence Friday.

The Knoxville office of the SPCA began assisting BCSO with the investigation.

Anyone with information pertaining to the whereabouts of Amy Renea Robertson was asked to contact Blount County Communications at 865-983-3620. Those with tips may also call the 24-hour anonymous crime line at 865-273-5200, or through the Blount County Sheriff's Office website.
