Man Arrested Monday For Exposing Himself At Public Library

A man was arrested Monday after Knoxville police say he exposed himself to a teen girl at a public library.

Scott Edward Taylor, 37, is charged with engaging in sexual activity with intent to have a minor view, indecent exposure, and simple possession (marijuana).

Police say they were called to the Bearden Branch Library, 100 Golf Club Road, to investigate a report of a man exposing himself to a female teenager. The victim said she was in the lobby when the man approached her and tried to touch her.

The teen went to the women's restroom to get away, and when she later exited, she said the man exposed himself to her. She immediately ran for help and called 911.

Investigators say they identified the suspect as Taylor, who was located Monday and arrested.

Anyone who has had similar contact with Taylor is asked to call the Knoxville Police Department at (865) 215-7212.
