North Knoxville Kroger Evacuated Saturday After Bomb Scare

Shoppers at a North Knoxville grocery store were evacuated this afternoon for a bomb threat that turned out to be false.

A spokesperson with Kroger said the threat was called in just before 5 p.m. this evening for the Kroger in Powell, 234 E. Emory Road.

The Knox County Sheriff's Office was called in to investigate, and determined there was no threat to the store. The spokesperson said the store reopened about an hour later.

KCSO is still investigating the bomb threat.
