Mass Elementary School Apologizes For Halloween Decorations Showing Gravestone With President Trump's Name On It

A Massachusetts elementary school apologized to outraged parents after its Halloween decorations included a tombstone with the name "Don Trump."

The tombstone was part of a game where students tossed beanbags at the stones.

"Intentionally or not, it inappropriately brought a political agenda into what was designed to be a fun family affair," read a a letter to parents from Principal Telena Imel of West Parish Elementary School in Gloucester, Massachusetts.

"The parents or teachers responsible for this disgusting display should claim responsibility publicly and apologize publicly as well," wrote Republican State Committeewoman Amanda Orlando Kesterson, to whom parents sent photos of the decoration. "We should teach our children that the office of the president ALWAYS deserves respect. Our school system is not the place for nasty political agendas.”

The parents who brought the decorations have apologized.
