A popular iPhone glitter case is being
recalled after reports of skin irritation and chemical burns.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Monday that a recall is
in effect for about 263,000 liquid glitter cases made by MixBin
Electronics for the iPhone 6, 6s and 7 models. CPSC said there's been 24
reports worldwide of the liquid glitter in the cases leaking, causing
health hazards.
CPSC said one consumer was permanently scarred from the chemical leak.
Another consumer reportedly suffered chemical burns and swelling to
their face, leg, neck, check upper body and hands.
"Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled cases and contact
MixBin Electronics for a full refund," CPSC said in a statement.
The cases cost between $15-$65 and were sold from October 2015 until
June this year at Amazon, Henri Bendel, MixBin, Nordstrom Rack, Tory
Burch and Victoria's Secret. To find out how to get a refund, visit
