WVLT Anchor, News Personality Alan Williams To Highlight Annual Smoky Mountain Area Rescue Ministries Banquet October 3

Longtime anchor and news personality at WVLT Alan Williams will be the featured speaker during the annual Streams of Mercy banquet to benefit Smoky Mountain Area Rescue Ministries this October.

The event will be held on Tuesday, October 3, at the Holiday Inn in Pigeon Forge. Tickets are $50 each and will go on sale soon, according to a release from SMARM.

"We are excited to have Alan Williams as our speaker this year," said SMARM Executive Director Dick Wellons. "He is a popular and well-respected news person as well as a man who lives his faith and is active in the faith community."

The Streams of Mercy banquet is a major fundraiser for SMARM, a faith-based agency that serves the poor and needy in Sevier County. The banquet will include an auction and report on the organization's activities from the executive director.
