Alcoa Police Department Investigation Homicide, Stabbing On Topside Road in Louisville

The Alcoa Police Department announced the investigation into an "apparent homicide" on Topside Road in Louisville.

Officers were dispatched to Topside Road at Buck Drive Tuesday night at 10:42 p.m. for reports of a male who had suffered multiple stab wounds.

The man was taken by AMR to UT Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives with the Alcoa Police Department responded to the scene at 11 p.m. Tuesday and started a homicide investigation.

Blount County Sheriff’s deputies, City of Alcoa Fire Department personnel and a Knox County Sheriff’s Office aviation unit assisted at the scene to try to search for a suspect.

Officials said a preliminary autopsy is being performed Wednesday morning at the UT Regional Forensic Center.
