High Speed Chase Ends With Shooting Of KY Man Late Saturday

Police are investigating a high-speed chase that ended with the shooting of a Kentucky man Saturday.

Police said Knox County Dispatch received a call about a silver Ford Mustang speeding recklessly south bound on U.S. 25E.

Barbourville officers pursued the vehicle approximately two miles before the driver, police identified as 29-year-old Brandon Moses, pulled into Buchanan’s Florist parking lot.

Moses then exited the vehicle and grabbed a bystander who was in the parking lot.

Police said Moses then released the bystander and started walking toward officers with one hand behind his back, threatening to kill both of them.

After Moses refused to show both of his hands, police said they shot him.

Investigators said Moses was flown to UT Medical Center and is in critical condition.
