Black Bear Spotted Just Outside Wartburg City Limits
Joel Byrd said his 18-year-old daughter Abby Byrd recorded the bear running on Potters Falls Road. As Abby approaches the bear in her car, it continues running along the road for a couple seconds before it darted off into the woods.
"We would like to make people aware of this video and show just how close they are to residential areas," Joel Bryd said.
Bears have been seen in public areas very frequently, most recently at the Quality Inn Creekside in Gatlinburg where hotel guests were caught on camera feeding it.
