Two Roane County Boys Accused Of Making Threats Toward Roane County High School |
|
ROANE COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Roane
County Sheriff's Office said deputies arrested two boys accused of
making threats toward Roane County High School, following several
complaints from the public. "We are confident that every effort has been made to assure the safety of the children and the staff," said the RCSO in a post to its Facebook page. Authorities did not identity the young men but said they are being held in custody, pending a detention hearing Monday afternoon. Deputies worked with the Attorney General and the Kingston Police Department to investigate the threats. "We take all threats seriously, and we will investigate and prosecute to the fullest," wrote RCSO. "The kids and staff in our schools are very important to us." Deputies plan to have officers at the high school Monday for the students' safety. The investigation is still ongoing. |
