Man From India Dies After Being Mauled By Bear Attempting To Take Selfie With It |

INDIA (CBS) -- A man was mauled to death
by a bear after he allegedly attempted to take a selfie with it, reports
say. According to CBS, the incident occurred in the Nabarangpur district of Odisha in India. The man, Prabhu Bhatara saw the injured bear on the way home from a wedding. Bhatara allegedly ignored the advice of his friends who told him it wasn't a good idea to take a picture with the animal. One news source said that it didn't take long for the animal to strike when Bhatara got close. The incident was recorded on cell phone and went viral. A stray dog stepped in and bit the bear, but couldn't keep it from killing Bhatara. According to a forest ranger, Bhatara "died on the spot." |
