Morgan County Officials Say Two Injured During "Active" Bomb Situation
Wednesday Night Near Lancing
Two people were hurt after a bomb
situation in the Lancing area of Morgan County on Wednesday night,
authorities said.
Morgan County Sheriff Glenn Freytag confirmed the situation was active.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said they are assisting the
sheriff's office with the investigation.
The DA's office said a male and female were injured in the incident and
were transported to the hospital.
State bomb and arson squads rushed to 615 Island Fork Road at around
10:45 p.m. Wednesday. The Knox County bomb squad was also in route for
the "bomb situation."
A Knoxville news crew scene was on the scene and said two Morgan County
officers entered the entryway to the scene blocked. The scene was taped
off by officers wearing bomb squad gear.
