Julissa Arce, who said she climbed the corporate ladder at Goldman Sachs
using falsified documents, claimed Trump made the immigration issue
worse after rescinding DACA.
MacCallum pointed out that the program's initiator, President Obama,
said in 2012 the program was a temporary relief and not a permanent fix.
She also told Arce that Trump offered a pathway to citizenship for 1.8
million illegal immigrants in exchange for border wall funding - an
offer rebuffed by Democrats.
"He's offering even more [than Obama]," MacCallum said. "You blame
[Trump] but you don't blame Democrats for turning down the offer."
Arce, who immigrated at age 11, said she is "disappointed" that
Democrats could not strike a deal with Trump.
She added that Democrats should have inserted immigration reform into
the tax and spending bills to help guarantee passage.
Arce said Trump is also trying to "slash legal immigration."
MacCallum also asked Arce why it is acceptable for Mexico to enact
strict border control laws, yet American laws are usually under
scrutiny.
