KNOXVILLE - Early voting begins April 11
in the upcoming primary election in Knox County, and the deadline to
register for it was April 2.
The early-voting period runs through April 26, and election day is set
for May 1. Voters can register online or visit the Knox County Election
Commission downtown in the old Knox County Courthouse, 300 W. Main St.
The ballot for this year's primary election includes big races, such as
county mayor and county sheriff. The general election is set for Aug. 2.
A candidate forum is being held tomorrow in Knoxville. From 6-8 p.m.
Monday at Dogwood Elementary, 705 Tipton Ave., voters can meet
candidates running for county commission, circuit court clerk, county
