Uber Eats Driver in Memphis Says He Shot A Group Of People After
Teenager Tried To Rob Him Thursday Morning
An Uber Eats driver told police in Memphis
that he shot at a group of people after a teenager tried to rob him on
Thursday morning.
The driver told investigators that he had just gotten into his car in
the parking lot of an IHOP in White Haven when a teenager attempted to
rob him. He said the teen told him to be quiet and hand over his car
keys and money.
At that point, the Uber Eats driver claimed he pulled out his gun and
shot the teenager. CBS affiliate WREG reported that police said the
teenager's accomplices fired back as they ran away.
Investigators discovered bullets in the Uber Eats driver's car. The
teenager was injured and remains in critical condition at a hospital.
One suspect is in custody and another hasn't been found.
