Protests Continue For Second Night In Sacramento After Shooting Of Unarmed Black Man
About 200 people confronted Sacramento police, blocked vehicular traffic and at least one car was vandalized, Huntsman said on Fox & Friends.
The protests ramped up after police released body camera footage of the final moments of 22-year-old Stephon Clark's life.
Interstate 5 was blocked, as well as pedestrian ingress to the Kings' basketball game during one of the protests, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Mayor Darrell Steinberg (D) said he also viewed the bodycams "carefully" and "cannot second-guess the split-second decision of our officers."
Clark was killed after police received reports of a man in a hooded shirt shattering car windows in the city.
An air unit spots what appeared to be Clark running through yards and allegedly breaking a home's window with a crowbar-like object, according to NPR.
Police later encounter Clark in a backyard, and the man is shot after holding his arms out with an object in his hand some believed to be a weapon.
The only object later found on Clark's body was a cell phone, NPR reported.
