Sevierville Man Charged With Shooting Man In Face With .380 Caliber

Officers say a physical altercation
led to a man being shot in the face Wednesday in Sevierville.
The Sevierville Police Department responded to a residence in the 900
block of Middle Creek Road around 10:45 p.m. Officers said two men,
47-year-old James Raney, Jr., and 40-year-old Steven Ogle were fighting
before Raney allegedly shot Ogle in the face with a .380-caliber
semi-automatic pistol.
SPD said Ogle was conscious and alert at the scene before being taken by
ambulance to UT Medical.
Officers are continuing to investigate what happened in the incident,
including what led to the fight. No charges have been filed at this
time.
