Dollywood Expansion Planned For New Attractions According To Reports
Documents filed with the Pigeon Forge Planning Commission revealed plans for eight attractions and a possible restaurant.
Dollywood opens for another season on Friday, March 16, but so far the park has not made any official announcement about the new developments.
"Dollywood is consistently working to expand and improve parks and resorts. We do not have anything official to announce at this time. Dolly will announce future plans for the Dollywood company later in the year," said Director of Public Relations Pete Owens on Wednesday, March 7.
Assistant City Manager for Pigeon Forge Eric Brackins said the city is excited for Dollywood's continued growth.
"They continue year after year to add new attractions and new rides to reinvent themselves... they like to keep it fresh," Brackins said.
Dolly Parton is scheduled for the park's season open on March 16.
