Blount County Freshman At Heritage High School Arrested, Charged With
Making Threats To Bring Gun To School
According to the Blount County Sheriff's
Office, a 14-year-old boy was arrested and charged with delinquency by
false report Friday after several people heard him make a threat about
bringing a gun to school.
BCSO said the student was a freshman at Heritage High School.
The School Resource Officer at Heritage High School was told of the
threat on Friday afternoon and immediately began an investigation,
working with the school's administration, BCSO said. The SRO determined
that the student did not have access to weapons at his home.
BCSO said Friday afternoon the boy was being housed at the Blount County
Juvenile Detention facility pending a detention release hearing.
