Blount County Teenager Arrested After Allegedly Leaving Post-It Notes
Outside William Blount High Threatening To "Shoot Up The School"
A Blount County teenager has been arrested
after allegedly leaving Post-It notes on a column outside William Blount
High School, threatening to "shoot up the school."
The 16-year-old boy is a sophomore there and the notes left allegedly
said the shootings would occur in March around the school's spring
break.
The school resource officer told BCSO that the teenager was identified
in a video outside the school. The Sheriff's Office said he does not
have access to weapons and that there were no individual students
singled out in the Post-Its.
He's been charged with delinquent by false report, and is being held in
the Blount County Juvenile facility pending a hearing that will be held
within 72 hours.
