According to a study in WalletHub,
Tennessee made it in the top ten for most sinful states in the United
States.
The website ranked the Volunteer state as No. 6 for most sinful state.
When the study broke down specific sins, it classified Tennessee as No.
1 for the angriest.
The study listed Florida, California, Nevada, Texas and Georgia in the
top 5, just above Tennessee.
The financial help website created this list by comparing specific sins
within each state. The categories included anger & hatred, jealousy,
greed, lust, excesses & vices, vanity and laziness.
Tennessee was listed as No.1 for the angriest state. The Volunteer state
was also listed as No.11 for lust & No. 15 for jealousy, listed in the
top 20 for almost all other categories.
To compile this information, WalletHub studied a range of key indicators
within each sin category.
Within the anger and hatred category where Tennessee ranked No. 1,
WalletHub examined key indicators, such as violent crimes, sex offenders
per capita, the bullying rate, hate-crime incidents, the number of hate
groups, share of maltreated adults, discrimination cases, number of mass
shootings and hostile internet comments.
WalletHub said the next important step is to figure out how to fix the
problems and improve the quality of life for each state.
