Family Safe Following House Fire In North Knoxville
Rural Metro Fire responded to the scene on E. Emory Road at 4:50 a.m. and found that the family had safely evacuated the home full of smoke.
While searching through the home, firefighters discovered the source of the fire to be a couch in the spare bedroom.
Authorities moved the burning couch to the front yard and ventilated the home from smoke. A representative with Rural Metro Fire reported minimal smoke damage inside the home.
No injuries were reported as a result of the blaze. The cause of the fire is still under investigation
