CBS affiliate WYMT reported that police responded to a shooting in a
Johnson County community at around 3:40 p.m. on February 10. Upon
arrival, police discovered a man and a woman dead in the kitchen at a
home off of KY-172.
At that point, Kentucky State Police were notified and an alert was sent
out to multiple counties to look for the shooting suspect's potential
vehicle.
During the search for the suspect, troopers were called to a home on
Mill Street where they discovered the suspect's vehicle parked outside.
They found two females and a male dead inside.
“This has been a horrific murder spree. The lives of four innocent
victims were taken. The perpetrator then took his own life. There are no
words to describe the heartbreak in seeing four lives taken due to the
actions of one man," said Johnson County Sheriff Dewayne Price. "I have
worked in law enforcement for 34 years. This is one of the most
disturbing acts of violence I have ever seen.” |
