On Jan. 27, 1945, the
Auschwitz concentration camp was liberated by Soviet forces. In 2005,
the U.N. General Assembly proclaimed Jan. 27 as International Holocaust
Remembrance Day.
More than six million people were killed in the Holocaust. The number is
so large you lose sight of the individuals who make up that figure. Each
life taken had its own story, family and a contribution to make to the
world. Their loss is all the more staggering when you realize this.
All these Nazi victims had one thing in common – they were deemed to be
“other,” different, not worthy of respect or empathy, less than human.
How could this have happened? This is the key question we must continue
to ask as we remember six million precious souls who died at the hands
of Nazi Germany. With some who seek to erase this dark stain from
history's road map, it's imperative we keep its realization alive for
future generations so the same mistake will never be made again against
the Jews, or any other group.
The Holocaust followed a sequence seen in other genocides and ethnic
cleansings – certain groups were singled out from the general population
and targeted.
As they become more forcibly ostracized, the initial verbal abuse
endured eventually leads to physical attacks. No longer worthy of
respect, the group has become devalued. By the time the victims are
being rounded up and marked for eradication, there is little outcry from
the general population. The victims are no longer seen as people, just a
problem to be eradicated for the good of society.
President Donald Trump recognized Saturday’s International Holocaust
Remembrance Day with his own message honoring Holocaust survivors and
victims.
“Our Nation is indebted to the Holocaust’s survivors,” Trump said in his
presidential message. “Despite the trauma they carry with them, they
continue to educate us by sharing their experiences, strength, wisdom,
and generosity of spirit to advance respect for human rights.”
“We will confront anti-Semitism. We will stamp out prejudice. We will
condemn hatred. We will bear witness. And we will act,” he said.
Trump later posted on Twitter, “We pledge with all of our might and
resolve: Never Again!”
Other public officials also showed their support for International
Holocaust Remembrance Day in person and on social media. First Lady
Melania Trump visited the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum on Thursday,
and a number of lawmakers posted tributes on Twitter. Many held signs to
signify their remembrance.
Some Democratic lawmakers, such as Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth
Warren made clear their Holocaust Remembrance Day salutes were another
way to compare Hitler's actions against the Jews with what President
Trump is doing to secure our borders. The message is because President
Trump is not granting amnesty to millions of lawbreakers and illegal
aliens he somehow is as evil as a mad man who gassed six million Jews to
death.
This same party that is quick to put illegal aliens over American
citizens, is also the party that is quick to defend Islam and all its
violence directed at Jews claiming that any angst against Muslims over
their violence is also racist and Hitler-based bigotry.
Never let a solemn moment of reflection of a serious historical event go
without the stupidity and utter disgusting rhetoric from the Democratic
Party.
What is never discussed about Hitler's actions are the numerous Islamic
ties to the Final Solution. Hitler was a big fan of the Arab World in
the early stages of World War II and without good reason in his demonic
mind.
On 11 June 1941 Hitler and the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces
issued Directive No. 32, titled "Preparations for the period after 'Barbarossa'"
which read (in part):
"Exploitation of the Arab Freedom Movement. The situation of the English
in the Middle East will be rendered more precarious, in the event of
major German operations, if more British forces are tied down at the
right moment by civil commotion or revolt. All military, political, and
propaganda measures to this end must be closely coordinated during the
preparatory period. As central agency abroad I nominate Special Staff F,
which is to take part in all plans and actions in the Arab area, whose
headquarters are to be in the area of the Commander Armed Forces
South-east. The most competent available experts and agents will be made
available to it. The Chief of the High Command of the Armed Forces will
specify the duties of Special Staff F, in agreement with the Foreign
Minister where political questions are involved."
General der Artillerie Walter Warlimont, who was involved in military
alliances with some Arabs, reports that many German officers believed:
"...the only real political rallying point among the Arabs was their
common hatred of the Jews, while "Arab nationalist movements" as such,
because of the diversity of interests in the various Arab countries,
existed only on paper."
Some wealthy Arabs who traveled to Germany in the 1930s brought back
fascist ideals and incorporated them into Arab Nationalism.
One of the principal founders of Ba'athist thought and the Ba'ath Party,
Zaki al-Arsuzi, stated that Fascism and Nazism had greatly influenced
Ba'athist ideology. An associate of al-Arsuzi, Sami al-Jundi, wrote:
"We were racists. We admired the Nazis. We were immersed in reading Nazi
literature and books that were the source of the Nazi spirit. We were
the first who thought of a translation of Mein Kampf. Anyone who lived
in Damascus at that time was witness to the Arab inclination toward
Nazism. Michel Aflaq a founder of the Ba'athist philosophy admired
Hitler and the Nazis for standing up to Britain and America. This
admiration would combine aspects of Nazism into Ba'athism."
The two most noted Arab politicians who actively collaborated with the
Nazis were Grand Mufti of Jerusalem (al Quds) Haj Amin al-Husseini, and
the Iraqi Prime Minister Rashid Ali al-Gaylani. Al-Husseini is seen by
many to be father figure of the current Palestinian Authority
organization backed by Hamas and other terror groups bent on the
destruction of Israel and the establishment of Jerusalem as its own
city. That is why President Trump's recent announcement that the U.S.
was recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital city has so angered so
many Palestinians that they are threatening to cut off peace talks with
Israel. That's a huge joke considering the Palestinians have never been
a serious broker in any peace talks to begin with. President Trump is
more than right to cut off their financial aid until they decide such a
time is right.
The United States is no longer funding terrorism under the Trump camp,
unlike his predecessor, Barrack Hussein Obama, who it seemed was
bankrolling every anti-Israel group in the world while in office.
An interesting side note to this to gather more understanding what type
man al-Hussenini was includes the fact that the British had forced Mufti
al-Husseini into exile for his role in the 1936–1939 Arab revolt in
Palestine. The ex-Mufti had agents in the Kingdom of Iraq, the French
Mandate of Syria and in Mandatory Palestine.
In 1941, the Mufti actively supported the Iraqi Golden Square coup
d'état, led by Rashid Ali al-Gaylani. After the Golden Square Iraqi
regime was defeated by pro-British forces, Rashid Ali, the Mufti, and
other Iraqi veterans took refuge in Europe, where they supported Axis
interests.
Both men, but especially Al-Husseini, were particularly successful in
recruiting several tens-of-thousands of Muslims for membership in German
Schutzstaffel (SS) units, and as propagandists for the Arabic-speaking
world. The range of collaborative activities was wide.
According to historical data, Anwar Sadat, who later became president of
Egypt, was a willing collaborator in Nazi Germany's espionage according
to his own memoirs.
Adolf Hitler was a mad man to begin with but his meeting with Haj Amin
al-Husseini on 28 November 1941 added fuel to his already demonic
inspired "fire" to destroy the Jews.
The official German notes of that meeting contain numerous references to
the extermination of all Jews both inside and outside Europe. The
following excerpts from that meeting are statements from Hitler to the
Mufti:
"Germany stood for uncompromising war against the Jews. That naturally
included active opposition to the Jewish national home in Palestine,
which was nothing other than a center, in the form of a state, for the
exercise of destructive influence by Jewish interests."
After this meeting Hitler would on his own give the Arab world the
assurance that its hour of liberation against the Jews had arrived.
Germany's objective would then be solely the destruction of the Jewish
people residing in the Arab sphere under the protection of British
power. Haj Amin al-Husseini became the most prominent Arab collaborator
with one of history's most demonic and evil men.
Al-Husseini developed friendships with high-ranking Nazis, including
Heinrich Himmler, Joachim von Ribbentrop and (possibly) Adolf Eichmann
while contributing to Axis propaganda services, and to the recruitment
of Muslim and Arab soldiers for the Nazi armed forces, including three
SS divisions consisting of Yugoslavian Muslims.
He was involved in parachuting Germans and Arab agents to foment attacks
against the Jews in Palestine during the War.
He assisted the German entry into North Africa, particularly the German
entry into Tunisia and Libya. His espionage network provided the
Wehrmacht with a forty-eight-hour warning of the Allied invasion of
North Africa. The Wehrmacht, however, ignored this information, which
turned out to be completely accurate.
He intervened and protested to government authorities in order to
prevent Jews from emigrating to Mandatory Palestine.
There is persuasive evidence that he was aware of the Nazi Final
Solution and celebrated Hitler's final move to destroy the Jews.
Yet 70 years later the world ignores the fact the modern Palestinian
movement was birthed by this same man. The hatred for the Jews remains
to this day in the dialogue of Islam. Whether we say they are radical or
just "peaceful," and I put that in quotations for a reason, the fact
remains as we honor International Holocaust Remembrance Day in 2018, the
world is not much different than it was in 1941. The stripes of the
swastiza have been traded for the sword of Islam, but the hatred remains
the same.
On International Holocaust Remembrance Day (Jan. 27), #WeRemember the
six million innocent Jewish men, women, and children who perished during
the Holocaust.
We must continue our vigilance against anti-Semitism, prejudice, and
racism in this modern hour.
God loves all people, Jews, Muslims, Americans and any other group on
this Planet. He does not however condone evil and violence against His
chosen people. The world may stand against Israel but in doing so they
are standing against the apple of God's eye. It would be in the best
interest of the Palestinians to get along with their cousins. In this
family fight, God may not take sides, but He does honor His own Word
that declares He has chosen Jerusalem as His own, put His own name on
it, and has be by divine decree given it to Israel.
Let us pray for the PEACE of God's eternal city in these last hours. And
may again we remember the Holocaust and curse those who seek to deny it
while embracing the offsprings of those who perpetrated it. Shalom.
