East Knoxville Shooting Leaves One Dead, One In Hospital
Investigators said the call came in just before 1:30 a.m. Officers found two men with gunshot wounds to the torso when they arrived on scene. One man died from his injuries.
Knoxville Police had initially reported both men died, but later said that announcement came from a miscommunication during an update from UT Medical Center. The second victim was alive and receiving treatment as of about 6:15 Wednesday morning.
Police said a possible suspect was seen in a small, dark colored sedan. Anyone with information on the crime was asked to call the KPD Crime and Drug Hotline at 865-215-7212. Tips can be left anonymously.
