Sevier County Man Indicited After Domestic Dispute

A Sevier County man was indicted after a domestic dispute involved a shooting with law enforcement.

Deputies came to a home in December after a woman said Timothy Scott McGill was threatening to harm himself. There were minors in the home at the time.

A confrontation occurred after the deputies arrived. The report says McGill caused deputies to fire shots.

McGill was indicted on charges for aggravated kidnapping, aggravated domestic assault with a deadly weapon, reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon, domestic assault, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and attempted second-degree murder.
