Pedestrian Hit By Vehicle And Killed On I-40 East Early Friday

One person is dead after being hit by a vehicle on I-40 eastbound early Friday morning, according to Knoxville Police dispatch.

Police say the incident happened at approximately 3 a.m. near mile marker 385, which is in the area of the I-640 interchange.

Dispatch did not have any further information on the circumstances surrounding the incident or the identity of the victim.
