East Knoxville Robbery Leads To Man Being
Shot In Leg
A robbery in East Knoxville left one
man with non-life threatening injuries.
The Knoxville Police Department responded to a robbery on the 2500 block
of Parkview Avenue in East Knoxville at 7:29 p.m. When they arrived on
scene, they discovered a male suffering from a gun shot wound to his
left leg.
According to police, people on the scene told officers that two men
followed the victim inside the home and threatened the victim with
handguns while demanding money. Officers were then told that the victim
and one of the suspects got into a physical altercation. During the
fight, the victim was shot in the left leg, and both suspects ran off.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was expected to
recover.
The two suspects are described as black males wearing black ski-masks
covering their faces. One had a black winter style jacket and the other
was wearing a green jacket.
