TBI Investigating Officer Involved Shooting Near Pioneer

The TBI is investigating an officer-involved shooting that happened Wednesday night in Pioneer.

Deputies say a man driving a four-wheeler was firing a weapon at vehicles along Elk Main Street. Wayne Arnold Moore was found in the middle of the road. He allegedly fired shots at deputies and one of the deputies returned fire. No one was hit.

Moore ran from deputies and barricaded himself inside an abandoned house.

The SWAT team responded and negotiated with Moore for about four hours. He eventually came out of the house and was arrested.
