Anderson County Investigating Homicide Over Weekend

The Anderson County Sheriff's Office said they were investigating a shooting homicide of 62-year-old Buford Glenn Phillips Sunday.

Officials said deputies responded to a shooting shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon on Back Half Mood Road in the Frost Bottom Community. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found Phillips had been shot and killed.

Investigators, along with agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, were called to the scene and, as of Monday morning, were investigating the circumstances of the shooting.

No additional information was released about the ongoing investigation Monday morning.
