Knox Police Respond To Drive-By Shooting In East Knox

Knoxville Police responded to a drive-by shooting Thursday in East Knoxville.

Officers responded at 11:48 a.m.to 3348 Lay Ave. Once there, KPD found 21-year-old Mikhail Gadson suffering a gunshot wound to the shin. Gadson told KPD the shot came from a passing vehicle just minutes earlier as he was standing in front of his house.

According to KPD, witnesses said they say a small red car leaving the area quickly.

Gadson was taken to UT Medical Center for treatment. His current condition is unknown.
