School Bus Crashes On I-40 East Bound Near Broadway; No Children On Bus, No Injuries

 Crews are responding to a crash on I-40 near Broadway reportedly involving a school bus and a pick up truck.

Dispatchers say the Knoxville Fire Department is on the scene of the crash between school bus #971 and a pick up truck.

Traffic is impacted on I-40 eastbound and westbound.

Knox County Schools confirmed there were no children on bus #971 at the time of the crash. The bus serves Christenberry and Fulton schools. We will update this story as information becomes more available during the day.
