WIRES - -- The Hamilton County 911 Emergency Communications
District said Tuesday problems with the Tennessee 9-1-1 Network
Operations Center had been corrected after calls were being misrouted
across the state.
The Tennessee Emergency Communications Board said it believes a software
update may have caused the incident. The board added that it began
around 11:25 a.m., and was resolved around 3:45 p.m. when the update was
reversed.
The board said that affected agencies included Bledsoe County, Bradley
County, Bristol Police Department, Cleveland-Bradley Communicatoins
Center, Hamblen 911, Hamilton County, Hawkins County 911, Houston
County, Humphreys County, Humphreys County ECD, Jefferson County, Knox
County, Marion County, Maury County, McMinn County, Mountain Central
E911 Center, Overton-Pickett ECD, Rutherford County, Scott County,
Sequatchie County, Sevier County, Stewart County, Sullivan County,
Washington County, Wayne County and Wilson County.
As of around 6 p.m, the Hamilton County 911 Emergency Communications
District confirmed test calls indicated that all emergency calls made in
Hamilton County were ringing appropriately. |
