OUR VIEW: Our Prayers And Hearts Today With Texas

We witnessed another senseless slaughter of innocents Sunday in the small community of Sutherland Springs, Texas at the First Baptist Church where 26 people died and 20 were injured in a growing trend of violence against people of faith.

26-Year old Devin Kelly randomly shot many parishioners to death then took his own life after being confronted by two brave neighbors with guns shortly after. Police say they have no motive and based upon his Facebook posts and history none may never be found.

There will be time to analyze motives and the whys but today we just send our prayers and thoughts to the families of the victims - again. This time the victims ranged from age 5 to 72 including the pastor's 14-year old daughter and an entire family of eight. Our hearts just mourn for each one as well as our nation today.

Evil men leave their marks on communities and Devin Kelly left his on the community of Sutherland Springs, Texas.

We pray today that God grant this small town peace and comfort during this time of tragedy and we once again call on all to pray for this great nation of America being torn apart by the violence that seems to perpetrate our society on a daily basis.

My analytical hat is off today. My heart is full of sorrow and love for each of the victims and the ones now picking up the pieces asking why did this happen.

We hope God grants that request somehow in this darkness with His Light as Only He can during these times. This nation needs a healing and it needs one fast.

God bless Texas today and America too. They both need it today and for many weeks if not years to come.
