ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) -- A mother
and daughter both overdosed at the same time in a Ashland City Dollar
General over the weekend, CBS affiliate WJHL reports.
Investigators said the women overdosed on cocaine that was laced with
fentanyl.
The woman and her daughter were resuscitated at the scene with Narcan,
but investigators said the mother had no pulse when responders arrived.
The mother was taken to a Nashville hospital, and her daughter was taken
to a hospital in Ashland City, where she was treated and released.
Police said charges are pending, and investigators are looking into who
may have sold the drugs as well. |
