A mohawked Knoxville man is now behind
bars after police said he was peeping into a woman's window for a
"prolonged period of time" before resisting arrest.
The Knoxville Police Department responded to West Jackson Avenue around
5:30 p.m. Monday after a neighbor called in the complaint of a man
trespassing on his property. According to the police report, Douglas
Peek told officers the victim had contacted him about a suspicious man
looking into her apartment's windows for a long time. Peek described the
suspect to officers, saying he was a white man with a mohawk, wearing a
red shirt.
Responding officers then saw a man matching that description —
30-year-old Wade Seeber — exiting a tall, wooden fence from an area KPD
said was marked as private property. Officers said that when they made
contact with Seeber, he ignored commands to lay down and put his hands
behind his back.
Seeber was arrested on charges of criminal trespassing and resisting
arrest. He's being held on a $1,500 bond. |
