Knoxville Man Arrested For Kidnapping Rape Following Brief Chase In South Knoxville

 The Knox County Sheriff's Office arrested a man for kidnapping and rape following a brief chase in South Knoxville.

Deputies, along with A KCSO helicopter, began looking for Brent Davis around 4 p.m. Friday. Deputies said they discovered Davis at Mojo's Market on Maryville Pike, but he fled the scene.

After a brief foot chase, Davis was arrested and charged with evading and resisting arrest. He also was charged with two counts of rape, two counts of kidnapping, aggravated assault and theft, stemming from a previous incident on Thursday.

Davis is being held in the Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility on a $237,000 bond.
