Knox Traffic Stop Turns Into Drug Discovery, $15K In Cash

(SOURCE: WVLT) - A traffic stop turned into a drug discovery, according to a Knoxville Police Department post.

Officers with the Knoxville Police Department seized $15,000 in cash and substances they believe to be heroin, cocaine, oxycodone pills and marijuana during a traffic stop. Investigators said the stop was initiated after the driver fell asleep behind the wheel.

The department posted about the incident on their Instagram account knoxville_pd on Wednesday morning.
