A jury found Tyler Enix guilty of first degree premeditated murder in the 2015 killing of his ex-wife.

On Friday, September 29, 2017, a jury found Enix guilty of first degree premeditated murder and especially aggravated robbery.

On October 2, Enix was sentenced to life with parole on the charge of first degree premeditated murder.

His sentencing for an especially aggravated robbery charge is set for November 30.

In October 2015, Kimberly Enix was found stabbed to death in her Fountain City house. According to police, Enix kidnapped their daughter, Brooklynne, and drove to Morrow, Ohio.

Enix was taken into custody and transported back to Tennessee after a man saw him and called police.

"This case was the result of the dedication and professionalism of law enforcement officers in multiple states," said DA Charme Allen. "This case shows the value of the AMBER Alert system, and I want to thank the heroes in Ohio who spotted the vehicle and saved this child."
